The Men’s Choir Concert took place on Monday, September 17, at the Performing Arts Center.
“I thought the performance went well. I felt like all of the big combined numbers went well,” Jason Dove, Men’s Choir Director said.
There were a few problems and concerns for the performance. One soloist became sick shortly before the concert, so another had to learn the open part in a short 5 days.
“We had guest soloists….one was sick and we had to have the other soloist prepare two solos,” Dove said.
Preparations for the concert began at the beginning of the school year. Students worked during class hours to perfect their songs and compositions. Each choir got the chance to present their own songs before the next group performed.
“Everything was executed perfectly. We worked tirelessly to perfect the songs for the concert. In the end it was extremely satisfying to hear how much the audience appreciated it,” Christian Swoop said.
