This Saturday, September 24th, join Deer Park High School in their annual Homecoming Parade, starting at 6:00 p.m. at Central Baptist Church and, ending in the South Campus parking lot. Everyone in the community is invited to join DPHS in encouraging the football team to win at the Homecoming game against Rayburn on September 30th. Everyone is also invited to attend the Tailgate party afterwards running from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. “… we want to… build school pride…and get the community involved. And that’s why the most important thing with the parade, cause we want not just [it] to be a school event, but it’s a community event. Because so many people in our community graduated from Deer Park , and the concept of Homecoming is, those Alumni come to the game [and] come be a part of the school again. So the parade honestly is the big kickoff to get the community involved and let them know about it,” Assistant Principal Evette Powell said. Hope to see everybody there for a good time.
