Fine Arts Forecast: December

The Deer Park High School musical fine art programs will each host a Christmas or winter concert between Thanksgiving and winter break.  The Band concert will be on December 10th in the Performing Arts Center at 7 p.m. with a fundraising dinner at 5:30 featuring some flute ensembles playing Christmas music for $10 a plate.  Tickets should be pre-bought from the Band directors no later than Tuesday, December 8th.  Tickets may be sold at the door but are not guaranteed.  The concert will include four different groups as well as Jazz Band.  Orchestra will host their concert on the 8th, also at 7 p.m. in the PAC with a fundraising dinner at 5 p.m. for $10 with all funds going to the Orchestra booster club.  Here as well their will be different groups, of various string instruments, playing Christmas songs of their choosing.    Tickets can be pre-purchased from the directors Mr. Law and Mrs. Gomen no later than Friday, December 4th.  A very limited number of tickets sold at the door on a first-come, first-serve basis.  During the concert, all five orchestras will perform, including Concert (beginner), Maroon (freshman), Philharmonic, Symphony (sub-varsity), and Chamber (varsity).  Choir will be having their concert on Sunday the 13th in the PAC at 2:30.  All concerts are open for free to the public and everyone in the community is encouraged to attend.
