Volundeers introduced a new charitable campaign to North Campus students and staff this year. Known as The Volundeers Sweet Case Event, the fundraising enterprise will raise money to support children in foster care.

“On December 2nd, money raised will go to purchase duffle bags filled with hygiene kits, blankets, coloring books, and teddy bears,” Ms. Jessica Vega, Volundeer Sponsor said.

Additionally, Volundeers made around $1100 from the Tape a Teacher event that was held on October 21st alone. For this event Volundeer students walked around in the morning and during their lunches, and these students held buckets with teachers faces on them. If students wanted a certain teacher taped to the wall they put money in their bucket. At the end of the week, the two teachers that had the most money in their bucket got taped to the wall. If students wanted to actually put tape to the teacher they were to pay fifty cents. Their goal was to make $2000 total for this organization throughout the rest of the school year.

“The Tape a Teacher was a lot of fun, it was great to see all of the students interacting with taping Mrs. Wilson and Mr. Tran to the wall,” Kelly Solis, Volundeer historian said.
